Prosperity and Good Success

Joshua 1 7-8

Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you…

Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.


Introduction:

1. In our walk with God we should be strong in faith and very courageous.

2. To continue in obedience to the Word we should not give up.

3. The first batch of Israel did not enter the promise land because of fear and disobedience.

Anything contrary to God’s promises is a false evidence. Do not believe the false evidence.

I. God promised us two things if we continue obeying His Word.

II. Prosperity is in the Word of God.

A. Definition. The ability to accomplish any endeavor or undertaking.

B. Benefits of prosperity:

1. peace, joy and enthusiasm.

2. blessing to others.

3. accomplish great things for God.

III. Good Success is in the Word of God.

A. Definition. The fulfillment of a person’s desire.

B. A successful person is one who is full of success.

1. Success is daily.

2. Laziness will drive out success.
