The Spirit of Truth

John 16:13.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth for He will not speak on His own authority but whatever He hears He will speak and He will tell you things to come.

Introduction
It is God’s will that we walk in the truth. 3John 3.
The Holy Spirit will enable you to continue in the right path.
What He hears from the Father will be given to you.
He will show you things of the future.

I. The Holy Spirit is our best friend.
A. Develop a close personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.
B. The Holy Spirit is gentle. We grieve the Holy Spirit if we are living in anger.
1. Ephesians 4:30-32. …Let bitterness, anger, wrath, clamor and evil speaking be
put away from you with all malice…

II. Practice walking in truth. Galatians 5:25
A. If we say we live in the Spirit. Let us also walk in the Holy Spirit.
1. Walking in the Spirit is being guided and doing what the Spirit wants you to do
2. Allowing the Holy Spirit to be side by side with you.
B. Communicate with the Holy Spirit.
a. If you have a companion in the house and you just treat him like a tool or a
machine, will he not be sad.
b. The Holy Spirit is a person living inside of you. He needs:
1. Appreciation.
2. Acceptance.
3. Admiration
4. Affirmation
5. Attention.
